2019-2020 Welcome and Off-Season Updates
As we head into the 2019-2020 hockey season, the PDMHA Board of Directors would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new and returning hockey families. Its going to be an exciting year so let’s make it a great 2019-2020 season!!!
As an association, our duties don’t stop when the season ends. Many of us are just as busy thinking all things hockey in the summer months as we are mid season. This past off season is a shining example of this.
At the conclusion of last season, the Rep Partnership Committee, consisting of representatives from Delhi, Simcoe, Waterford, Port Dover and Langton Minor Hockey began regular meetings to explore the possibilities to improve the quality of hockey in our region while maximizing fun. These meetings continued through the Spring and early Summer. Each association agreed to seek board level approval whether to continue discussions or not in early July. The Boards of Port Dover, Simcoe, and Waterford voted in favour of continuing discussions.
Building on the foundations established last season while incorporating the lessons learned, the committee has made meaningful progress towards the completion of a draft agreement for all members to peruse.
The need for open, transparent and consistent communication was a message heard loud and clear, and we are going to achieve this through a coordinated communication strategy. Leveraging the power of social media, a Norfolk County Hockey Facebook page has been launched. Here is the link to the page
