Norfolk County Rep Hockey Partnership - Update
Membership Update, Norfolk Rep Hockey Partnership.
Hi,
As many of you already know, the members of Port Dover Minor Hockey recently voted to ratify the Norfolk County Rep Partnership Agreement negotiated between Simcoe Minor Hockey, Port Dover Minor Hockey and Waterford Minor Hockey Associations. Both Simcoe and Port Dover voted 75% and 80% respectively to proceed forward with the creation of the Norfolk County Minor Hockey Association as laid out in the agreement.
Unfortunately, the Waterford vote on February 25th did not receive the required two-thirds member support and as such, they are unable to move forward at this time. The decision by one of the three participating associations not to move forward effectively negates the agreement.
Despite this setback, the membership's interest in an expanded Norfolk Hockey program was heard and we will continue to be open to the development of such possibilities ongoing.
