U18 Pirates 1 had a great after Christmas present when they won the Al Boone tournament the week of Dec 27-29, 2024.
The Pirates started the tournament on Wednesday and played the Niagara Falls Leafs. Final score was 3-0 Pirates. Austin Topp came away with the shutout. Goals went to Aidan Littler with 2 and Parker Weller with 1.
Game 2 was Thursday morning against the Lawfield Canadians. Final score was 2-0 Pirates, with the shutout going to Jack Strobridge this time. Goals went to Evan Sibbick and Lucas Thompson, with assists going to Parker Jamieson and Ethan Bennett.
Game 3 was Thursday evening against the Niagara Falls Oilers. Final score was 5-1 Pirates. Strobridge and Topp split the goaltending duties. Goals went to Shortt and Jamieson with 2 each and Sibbick with 1. Assists went to Sibbick and Shortt.
Game 4 was the Semi Finals against the Niagara Falls Leafs again. Final score was 4-1 Pirates. Strobridge and Topp split the goaltending duties again. Goals went to Littler, Jamieson, Shortt and Kam Schnarr. Assists went to Shortt and Sibbick with 2 each, and Littler and Porter Anderson with 1.
Game 5 was the finals. We played the Lawfield Canadians. Final was 3-0 Pirates. The Shutout went to Topp.
Goals were scored by Weller, Sibbick and Bennett. Lone assist went to Jamieson.
